Rev. Crystal M. Bacon is a licensed Exhorter and Minister of Music in the Church of God and is affectionately referred to as “Pastor Crystal.” Having been a lifelong member of the Church of God she has a love for the Pentecostal heritage she has known since childhood.
Pastor Crystal is completely devoted and married to her soulmate, Bishop Lance M. Bacon. After almost two decades of marriage, she is still captivated by his charm and always lights up when he enters the room. Her respect and adoration for him is hard to deny or miss. They are the proud parents of four wonderful children: Kyra – 25, Austin – 23, Braelyn – 20 and Cheyenne – 18. She has pastored alongside her husband diligently, faithfully and untiringly for seventeen years, and helped forge the discipleship ministry God has placed in their charge. Pastor Crystal has also served in various positions to include Worship Pastor, Women’s Ministry Director, and Sunday School teacher. Notably, she was appointed to the Virginia CoG Board of Women’s Ministry for eight consecutive years. Crystal carries a passion for the unborn and is tireless in her efforts to educate and eradicate abortion. Pastor Crystal’s servanthood and virtue blend well to complement her role as Pastor and exemplify all the qualities and characteristics of a Bishop’s wife. She is a strong example of a virtuous woman with power to provoke and inspire change while challenging and motivating women of all ages and ethnicities. She mentors many women from across many states who glean from her biblical counsel and wisdom.
Pastor Crystal Bacon is one who accepts the precious privilege and awesome responsibility of seizing every opportunity to deposit the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the lives of God’s people. She is founder and director of EmpowerHer, a women’s bible study based out of Poquoson Va. where she and her family resides. The ministry exists to admonish and motivate women to allow Jesus Christ to have first priority in their lives to uphold God’s standard of holiness. At the heart of her ministry is her passion for issues relating to marriage, parenting, women in leadership, and pastors’ wives functioning within their God-given call to help their husbands. Utilizing divine inspiration along with life-experiences, Pastor Crystal teaches women with practical examples, humor, and passion packed with nuggets that touch women of all ages. Pastor Crystal also shares the pulpit with her husband, freely ministering when called upon. Above all, Pastor Crystal is a highly respected, greatly loved, anointed servant of God worthy of double honor – and one with whom God is not done!
